SWEETWATER AREA
A thief stole a city of Miami firefighter badge, identification card, driver's license and other items after breaking a window on a 2007 GMC Yukon in the 700 block of Northwest 135th Court between 10:30 and 10:45 p.m. Nov. 19. The items were valued at $111. Damage was estimated at $100.
Someone took an iPod, a CD player and two speakers after breaking a window on a 2007 Chrysler 300 in the 500 block of Northwest 107th Avenue between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 19 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 20. The items were valued at $900. Damage was estimated at $200.
UNIVERSITY PARK AREA
A thief made off with a purse, $3,000, identification cards and other items after breaking a window on a 2007 Lexus in the 1100 block of Southwest 102nd Avenue between 3 and 3:30 p.m.
Nov. 17. The items were valued at $304.50. Damage was estimated at $300.
WESTCHESTER
Someone took a camera and an iPod after breaking a door lock on a 2009 Ford F-450 in the 7700 block of Southwest 40th Street between 2 and 2:15 p.m.
Nov. 23. The items were valued at $700. Damage was estimated at $400.
FLAGAMI AREA
A laptop computer was stolen after someone broke a window on a 2004 Nissan Xterra in the 8300 block of West Flagler Street between 7:45 and 8 p.m.
Nov. 24. The laptop was valued at $650. Damage was estimated at $200.
A thief stole a briefcase, backpack, running clothes and other items after breaking a window on a 2008 Honda Accord in the 7900 block of Southwest Fifth Street between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. Nov. 20. The items were valued at $1,021. Damage was estimated at $100.
CORAL GABLES
A leather satchel valued at $200 was stolen from a 2005 Lexus in the 800 block of Coral Way between
11:30 p.m. Nov. 11 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 12.
A vandal smashed a window on a 2003 Chevrolet in the 800 block of Salzedo Avenue between 3 and
6:45 a.m. Nov. 16.
CORAL GABLES AREA
Police arrested a teenager in the 2200 block of Southwest 37th Avenue after they said they caught him spray-painting buildings at 4:45 a.m. Nov. 10. An officer was at the light at Andalusia Avenue and Douglas Road in an unmarked car when he heard a faint ''hissing'' sound. He saw a teenager dressed in all black with a hooded sweat shirt walk out from behind a business and cross the street to Douglas Road and Miracle Mile. The officer stopped him and noticed a bulge in both sweat shirt pockets and that his hands were covered in black spray paint. The suspect admitted he had just spray-painted behind the building, as well as a large mural painting on an adjacent building. The 18-year-old Coral Gables High student was taken into custody by Miami police.
SCHENLEY PARK AREA
Someone stole an iPod and an iPod charger after breaking a window on a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt in the 6200 block of Southwest 30th Street between 8 and
8:30 p.m. Nov. 23. The items were valued at $410. Damage was estimated at $200.
LITTLE GABLES
Someone stole a gym bag, a GPS and a wallet after breaking a window on a 2004 Acura at the corner of 15th Street and Southwest 39th Avenue between 1 and 8:15 a.m. Nov. 24. The items were valued at $1,040. Damage was estimated at $300.
SOUTH MIAMI
A burglar kicked in the front door of a house in the 5900 block of Southwest 62nd Street and stole a computer and a PlayStation together valued at $2,150 between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Nov. 12.
